Transcorp 9M 2026 Results: ₦111.4bn Profit Before Tax

Transcorp Group released its unaudited nine-month 2026 results on 26 October 2026, covering the period ended 30 September 2026. The Group reported revenue of ₦357.4 billion, down from ₦412.4 billion in the same period of 2025, with management attributing the decline to lower power evacuation at Transcorp Power Plc caused by industry-wide transmission and gas supply constraints, including vandalisation of infrastructure.

Profit before tax came in at ₦111.4 billion, compared to ₦124.5 billion in 9M 2025, while profit after tax stood at ₦75.1 billion against ₦91.4 billion previously. Despite the revenue and profit declines, the Group expanded its profit-before-tax margin to 31.2% from 30.2% in the prior period.

Total assets grew 13% to ₦1.13 trillion from ₦1.00 trillion at December 2025, and total equity rose 9.7% to ₦387.8 billion. Cash and cash equivalents more than doubled to ₦45.9 billion from ₦21.9 billion at December 2025. Transcorp Hotels Plc grew profit after tax by 5% to ₦15.5 billion and expanded its net profit margin to 22.3%, while its total assets rose 29% to ₦206.8 billion. Earnings per share for the period stood at 429 kobo, compared to 534 kobo in 9M 2025.
