Chidozie Awaziem Joins Konyaspor on Two-Year Deal

Chidozie Awaziem, a defender for the Super Eagles, has completed his transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor. He signed a two-year contract after departing from French club Nantes, where he had joined from MLS outfit Colorado Rapids the previous summer.

Awaziem's move comes after Nantes' relegation from Ligue 1, prompting him to seek a new opportunity. The 29-year-old will don the number 15 shirt for Konyaspor in the upcoming season.

Prior to his time at Nantes, Awaziem played in Turkey for Çaykur Rizespor and Alanyaspor. He began his professional career in Portugal with FC Porto and has also had stints in Spain and Croatia.
