Chelsea Decides Against Signing Nwaneri and Bergvall

Chelsea has confirmed that they do not plan to sign Arsenal forward Ethan Nwaneri or Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luca Bergvall during the summer transfer window. This decision comes despite rumors suggesting that both players were targets for the club.

Nwaneri spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at Marseille, while Bergvall made 33 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League. Chelsea's new head coach, Xabi Alonso, is set to officially assume his role on July 1, following the departure of Liam Rosenior at the end of the previous season.

Although Chelsea has been linked with several potential new signings, the club has yet to finalize any deals as the summer transfer window remains open. Both Nwaneri and Bergvall's futures are uncertain, with Bergvall expressing a desire to leave Tottenham, which has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe.

Nwaneri is currently enjoying a summer break while participating in England's pre-World Cup training camp in the United States.
