Carrick Urges Man United Board for More Player Signings

Michael Carrick, who became the permanent head coach of Manchester United after initially serving as interim head coach following the departure of Ruben Amorim, has called on the club's board to secure additional player signings before the summer transfer window closes. Carrick emphasized the necessity of enhancing the squad to compete on all fronts, stating, “We want more, we need more.” He acknowledged the financial constraints but stressed the importance of striving for success in every competition.

Under Carrick's management, Manchester United secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the season. The club has already signed two midfielders, Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, to replace Casemiro, who left as a free agent.

Additionally, Karl Darlow was signed as a backup goalkeeper after Altay Bayindir was loaned to Celta Vigo. Reports suggest that Manchester United is pursuing left-back Lewis Hall from Newcastle and is interested in Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid, although no progress has been reported on that front.
