Ederson Completes Medical at Man United, Transfer Withdrawn

Brazilian midfielder Ederson successfully completed his medical examination at Manchester United during the FIFA World Cup. However, the club decided not to proceed with the £35 million transfer agreement.

Ederson refuted claims of failing the medical and stated he was not informed of the reasons for the club's withdrawal. He expressed satisfaction in signing a new contract to remain with Atalanta, where he has played for four years.

Ederson emphasized his strong relationship with Atalanta and the support he received from the club and its fans. He stated, “I have always received interest from other clubs,” but chose to stay with Atalanta, feeling it was best to remain with those who genuinely wanted him.

Atalanta's director, Cristiano Giuntoli, remarked that Ederson felt like a new acquisition, to which Ederson responded that he does not consider himself a new signing as he has always been an Atalanta player.
