Manchester United Secures £50m Deal for Andrey Santos

Manchester United has reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of midfielder Andrey Santos for a total of £50 million. According to multiple British media reports, the deal consists of an upfront fee of £48 million, with an additional £2 million in performance-related add-ons.

Although neither Manchester United nor Chelsea has officially confirmed the transfer, it is expected that Santos will undergo a medical examination soon. The agreement also includes a 10 percent sell-on clause for Chelsea, similar to previous negotiations.

Santos is anticipated to sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford. He joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and has spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.

Last season, he made 43 competitive appearances for Chelsea, scoring three goals. The completion of this transfer is seen as a move to strengthen Manchester United's midfield ahead of the new season.
