Nigerian Travel Agents Strengthen Ties with Ghana Tourism

Nigerian travel agents, represented by the Nigerian Travel Agency (NANTA), are pursuing stronger tourism partnerships with Ghana. This initiative was marked by a week-long retreat hosted by Safari World in Accra, aimed at fostering business relationships and exploring opportunities to increase travel traffic between Nigeria and Ghana.

NANTA President Yinka Folami emphasized the need for closer collaboration to unlock the vast tourism potential shared by both countries, which have historical and cultural ties. The retreat provided a platform for industry leaders to develop practical strategies to stimulate travel and investment in tourism products.

Folami noted the impressive private investment in Ghana's tourism sector, particularly at the Safari Valley Resort, and stressed the importance of ongoing collaboration beyond the current visit. The retreat included visits to various tourism destinations and aimed to enhance mutual understanding and business cooperation between Nigerian and Ghanaian tourism stakeholders.
