Over 176,000 Nigerians Visited Ghana in 2025

In 2025, Ghana recorded over 176,000 visitors from Nigeria, making it the second-largest source of international arrivals after the United States, as stated by Mr. Yussif Jajah, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

This announcement was made during an executive dinner at Safari Valley Resort, which honored the National Executive Council of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) during their retreat and familiarization tour of Safari World. Jajah emphasized Nigeria's importance as a key partner in Ghana's tourism growth and the necessity of collaboration to enhance visitor numbers and regional integration.

He noted that Ghana had over 1.3 million international arrivals in 2025, with Nigerians accounting for a significant portion. Dr.

Yinka Folami, President of NANTA, highlighted the enduring relationship between Ghana and Nigeria and its reflection of Pan-Africanism, urging the promotion of African destinations.
