Late Ex-IGP Arase Honored as Burial Process Begins

The burial process for the late former Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired Police Solomon Arase, commenced with tributes and honors in Abuja before his remains were airlifted to Benin, Edo State. A requiem mass was held in Abuja, with a lying-in-state at his Maitama residence.

The Police Service Commission honored Arase by naming a hall after him at their headquarters. The final burial rites are set to take place in Edo State.

Arase was described as a respected police officer, scholar, and reformer by the PSC Chairman and others. The event marks the conclusion of a distinguished career.
