Tricycle Operator Allegedly Beats Lover to Death in Ogbogoro

On June 2, 2026, a tragic incident occurred in Ogbogoro where a tricycle operator allegedly beat his lover to death. The incident was discovered around 7:00 AM when Mr.

Senibo reported finding two young girls, aged five and six, alongside the lifeless body of an adult woman inside a stationary tricycle parked along the street. The children informed the police that their father had used an object to beat their mother during the night.

After noticing that their mother was weak, the suspect allegedly rushed her to an undisclosed hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The children were left inside the tricycle while the suspect fled the scene.

ASP Bless Agab Kaborlo, a spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts were underway to apprehend the suspect. The deceased's sister later identified the body, which was deposited in a mortuary for further investigation, while the sister took custody of the two children.
