Trino Motion Pictures Appoints Richard Aseme to Advisory Board

Trino Motion Pictures has appointed Richard Aseme, the former co-head of EMEA at Paramount Pictures, to its advisory board as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations. Founded in 2016 by Babatunwa Aderinokun and Uch Okocha, Trino has evolved into a leading Nigerian film production and distribution company, with a catalog of 16 titles, including eight feature films.

The company has achieved significant milestones, such as being the first independent Nigerian film selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and earning 16 nominations at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards. Aseme's appointment is seen as pivotal for Trino's strategy to expand its international footprint and explore new growth models.

His extensive experience in global film distribution and current role in global fintech ventures will support Trino's ambitions to compete not only within Nollywood but also in the global independent film industry.
