Nigerian Troops Neutralize Bandits in Kogi, Restore Peace in Ongoing Operation

Nigerian troops in Kogi state have made significant progress in Operation EGWUA TITE II, neutralizing bandits and restoring peace in troubled communities. Troop 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, supported by Hybrid Forces, engaged in a firefight with bandits, resulting in the neutralization of two bandits.

The operation, which started on September 1, 2025, has seen notable success, with the destruction of bandit settlements. Brigadier General Kasim Umar Sidi led the exploitation efforts, further boosting troop morale.

The troops received close air support from the 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group.
