Nigerian Troops Foil Kidnapping and Rescue Three Victims in Taraba State

Nigerian Army's 6 Brigade Sector 3, operating under Whirl Stroke, thwarted a kidnapping attempt in Taraba State on January 5, 2026. Acting on intelligence, troops deployed to Jeb Jeb town swiftly rescued three victims from Sangai village in Bachama ward, Karim Lamido Local Government Council.

The victims, identified as Nimron Umar, Abafara Ibrahim, and Habila Yunusa, were rescued unharmed and are now in military custody. Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa commended the troops for their professionalism and swift response, emphasizing the brigade's commitment to ongoing security operations in Taraba State to combat criminal elements.
