Nigerian Troops Neutralize Bandit, Arrest Suspects in Benue and Nasarawa Operations

Nigerian troops, under the command of Lt. Ahmad Zubairu, conducted successful operations in Benue and Nasarawa States. In Benue, troops from Sector 1 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPW) engaged armed bandits in Ayamba village, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, resulting in the neutralization of one bandit and the recovery of weapons and ammunition. In a subsequent operation in Nasarawa State, troops from Sector 2 of OPW arrested suspects involved in armed robbery along the Asup-OM road in Obi Local Government Area.

Among the arrested suspects were Adam Paul, John Amo, and Elisha, who were linked to various criminal activities, including the alleged possession of illegal firearms and involvement in cattle rustling. The operations also led to the apprehension of individuals suspected of butchering meat from rustled cattle in the Agagbe community. Major General Mose Gara commended the troops for their efforts and urged them to sustain their operations to enhance security in the region.
