Troops Rescue 360 Hostages from Terrorists in Borno

Troops from the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai successfully overran a heavily fortified terrorist enclave in the Mandara Mountains, located in Southern Borno State, Nigeria, rescuing 360 captives. This operation, which involved meticulous intelligence preparation and covert reconnaissance, culminated in the release of hostages held under harsh conditions.

The operation was conducted by special forces from Sector 1, who penetrated the stronghold of the Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad, a terrorist group. The mission was launched following credible intelligence that identified the precise location of the hostages and the insurgents' support network.

Despite the challenging terrain, the operation was executed with speed and precision, leading to the successful evacuation of the captives. Unfortunately, two infants succumbed to exhaustion during their captivity.
