Trump Earns Over $1 Billion from Crypto Ventures in 2025

In 2025, Donald Trump earned over $1 billion from cryptocurrency ventures, according to a report released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.

The 900-page document disclosed that Trump received nearly $550 million from the startup Liberty Financial, which launched its cryptocurrency platform in September 2024. Liberty Financial issued its own cryptocurrency, WLFI, whose initial sale generated $550 million.

As of April 2025, WLFI's market value was approximately $1.3 billion. Trump's income disclosure also mentioned $635 million in royalties from licensing agreements related to his cryptocurrency launch, which occurred just hours after his inauguration in January 2025.

His activities in the cryptocurrency sector contributed significantly to his net worth, which rose from $2.3 billion to $6.5 billion between 2024 and 2026. Trump has faced accusations of conflicts of interest due to his investments in the cryptocurrency industry and has taken measures to deregulate the sector, causing asset prices to soar.
