Trump Launches 'Gold Card' Visa Program for Skilled Foreign Investors

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order introducing the 'Gold Card' visa program for skilled foreigners willing to invest at least $1 million in the United States. The Gold Card features Trump's photo and signature, symbolizing American values.

Applicants must gift at least $1 million to the Commerce Department to be eligible for expedited immigrant visas. Successful applicants will receive lawful permanent residency, replacing the traditional green card.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick highlighted the program's aim to attract highly valuable individuals to contribute to the U.S. economy. The visa program is still in the implementation phase, with the expectation of suspending the Green Card category soon.
