Trump Mocks Macron's Wife, Criticizes NATO at Lunch

During a private lunch on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump made derogatory remarks about French President Emmanuel Macron's wife, Brigitte Macron, stating that she treats him "extremely badly." Trump referenced a video showing Brigitte Macron pushing Emmanuel Macron's face during a trip to Vietnam, which Macron later dismissed as part of a disinformation campaign.

Trump continued to criticize NATO, labeling it a "paper tiger" and expressing frustration that NATO allies did not join the U.S. in military actions against Iran. He mimicked a French accent while stating that Macron's responses to his questions were negative, emphasizing that he did not see the need for war.

Trump’s comments come as Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced plans to reexamine the U.S. relationship with NATO following the conclusion of the conflict with Iran.
