Trump Launches Commemorative Passport for 250th Anniversary

On July 6, 2023, Donald Trump unveiled a limited edition U.S. passport design to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the country's independence. The passport features Trump's portrait on the cover, alongside his signature and a message welcoming good proposals.

The opposite page displays an illustration of the Declaration of Independence from 1776, inscribed with "United States of America 250." The design was shared on Trump's Truth Social platform, and the U.S. State Department had previously announced the commemorative passport, which is set to be available for personal appointments in Washington D.C.

The passport release is part of a series of efforts by Trump to leave a personal mark on U.S. government institutions during his presidency. Trump is the first sitting U.S. president to have his image featured on an American passport.
