Tanimu Turaki Likely to Emerge as Next PDP National Chairman, Source Reveals

According to a source, key stakeholders in the PDP have decided to zone the party's national chairmanship position to the North West region to foster party unity. The decision was reached during a meeting of northern stakeholders in Abuja over the weekend.

The three prominent figures vying for the position are former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, former Minister Tanimu Turaki, and former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi. Turaki is reported to enjoy significant support from key stakeholders, including some PDP governors.

The move aims to consolidate support for the party ahead of the upcoming convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
