PDP Faction Inaugurates Caretaker Committee in Abia State

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) faction, led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, officially inaugurated a caretaker committee for Abia State. The event featured Ali Odefa, the PDP Southeast Vice Chairman, who urged the newly inaugurated committee to uphold the party's integrity and resist destabilizing forces.

Odefa highlighted the ongoing legal disputes affecting the party's leadership and emphasized the importance of reconciliation. Mr.

Ikpegbu Emeka Yellow was appointed as the chairman of the Abia caretaker committee, recognized for his experience and capability to navigate challenges. In his speech, Yellow acknowledged the serious leadership crisis that has weakened the party's structure and called for selfless service.

However, Nyesom Wike, a prominent figure within the PDP, described the committee as illegitimate, indicating ongoing tensions within the party.
