Turkish Football Scandal: 102 Players Banned in Betting Scandal

Turkish football is in turmoil as 102 players, including Galatasaray players Eren Elmali and Metehan Baltaci, have been banned for involvement in a betting scandal. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) imposed suspensions ranging from 45 days to 12 months on players from the first and second leagues.

The scandal also involves referees and club officials, with allegations of widespread betting activities. TFF President Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu expressed concern over the moral collapse in Turkish football, revealing the need for reforms and stricter controls to restore trust in the game at all levels.
