Twin Fires in Lagos Destroy Multi-Million Naira Goods

Two separate fire incidents occurred in Lagos State on Monday, resulting in significant property damage. The first incident took place at Adamo Bus Stop in Ikorodu during the early hours, where a fire, suspected to be caused by faulty electrical wiring, spread from a hairdressing shop to three adjoining shops.
Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), reported that responders from LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service swiftly controlled and extinguished the fire. No injuries or fatalities were recorded, and dampening-down operations were conducted to prevent re-ignition.
In a second incident on the same day, two shops on 19 Olatunde Onimole Street, near Bakery Bus Stop in Surulere, were completely razed by fire, with the cause yet to be determined. Again, no casualties were reported, and dampening operations were performed.
