Kogi University Students Arrested for Murder of Peers

Two students from Prince Abubakar Audu University in Kogi State were arrested for the murder of Mr. David Ocholi Solomon, a 300-level biochemistry student.

The incident was disclosed on Saturday, with the university's vice chancellor, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo, visiting the deceased's family in Lokoja to express condolences. The arrests occurred within two hours of the incident, facilitated by the university's internal security team in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

Professor Ogbo stated that the university maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards cultism and violence, and measures will be intensified to strengthen security on campus. He also commended Governor Usman Ododo and traditional rulers for their support in maintaining peace within the university community.

Mr. Solomon Idachaba, the father of the deceased, expressed gratitude for the swift action taken by the university management and urged authorities to ensure justice is served.
