Two Nigerians Detained in Delhi for Visa Overstay

Two Nigerian nationals, Nwakor Paul Chukwuebuka and Aminat Aminu, were detained in Dwarka, Delhi, India, for allegedly overstaying their visas during Operation VISTA 1.0, a police initiative targeting immigration violations. Nwakor Paul Chukwuebuka, who also uses the names Cypril Odigbo and Paul Chukwuebuka Okeke, was apprehended on August 7 after police checks confirmed his visa had expired.

Aminat Aminu was detained on August 10 for residing in Dwarka with an invalid visa. Following the verification of their immigration status, both individuals were presented before the competent authority, which issued orders for their deportation and repatriation.

The detentions were part of Operation VISTA 1.0, aimed at monitoring the status of foreign nationals in the city and detecting immigration violations. Authorities stated that further necessary legal and administrative actions are being taken against the two Nigerians in accordance with applicable rules.
