Flamingos Prepare for Guinea in U-17 World Cup Qualifiers

Nigeria's Flamingos have intensified their preparations in Ikenne, Ogun State, ahead of their crucial match against Guinea in the first leg of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers. The team, under the guidance of coach Akeem Busari, has spent approximately one month in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, for the initial phase of their training.

During this period, they engaged in five friendly matches, achieving four wins and one draw. The first leg of the qualifiers will take place in Conakri, Guinea, on May 24, while the second leg is scheduled for a week later at the Remo Star Stadium.

The winner of this two-legged encounter will qualify for the U-17 Women's World Cup, which Morocco will host from October 17 to November 7, 2026.
