UAC of Nigeria Divests Livestock Feeds Stake for ₦19.5bn

UAC of Nigeria PLC has filed a corporate action disclosing a signed agreement to sell its 73.29% shareholding in Livestock Feeds PLC to Sunbeth Treenuts and Sesame Limited for ₦19.5 billion. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and values each LSF share at ₦8.85.

UAC of Nigeria PLC announced on 30 September 2026 that it has entered into an agreement to divest its 73.29% stake in Livestock Feeds PLC to Sunbeth Treenuts and Sesame Limited. The agreed cash consideration is ₦19.5 billion, representing a price of ₦8.85 per LSF share. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals before completion.

UAC originally acquired its majority stake in Livestock Feeds in 2013. Since then, UAC's Group Managing Director Fola Aiyesimoju stated that revenues grew 5x and profitability grew 18x under UAC's ownership. Livestock Feeds PLC, founded in 1963 and listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1978, operates animal feed manufacturing plants in Ikeja, Aba, and Kano, serving poultry, aquaculture, and livestock farmers nationwide.

Sunbeth describes itself as an African agribusiness group with capabilities in agricultural origination, supply chain management, warehousing, trading, and processing. Banwo & Ighodalo acted as legal adviser to UAC, while FigPartners Africa and CardinalStone Partners served as financial advisers to Sunbeth, with Olaniwun Ajayi LP as Sunbeth's legal adviser.
