UAE Sets Conditions for Artists to Obtain Golden Residency

The United Arab Emirates has announced four specific conditions that artists and creatives must meet to qualify for the Golden Residency, a long-term visa scheme managed by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). This residency allows successful applicants, along with their families, to live, work, study, and invest in the UAE for a renewable period of 10 years without needing a local sponsor.

To qualify under the top-tier Creative Category, applicants must meet at least one of the following conditions: winning a prestigious international award, receiving a formal nomination for such an award, holding a certificate from a reputable international organization acknowledging their creative contributions, or holding an honorary position within such an organization. For those not at the international award level, the Distinguished Category and Distinguished Professional Category offer additional pathways based on local recognition and professional experience, respectively.
