UAE Launches 10-Year Golden Visa for Exceptional Talents

The UAE has announced three distinct categories for individuals to qualify for its 10-year Golden Visa through the exceptional talent route, as detailed on the official UAE Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Authority portal. The categories include the Creative Category, which targets individuals with international awards and those from prestigious organizations; the Distinguished Category, covering local and regional awards; and the Distinguished Professional Category, requiring at least five years of experience in a creative field.

Scientists and researchers must obtain a recommendation from the Emirates Scientists Council, while religious scholars need nomination from the Ministry of Culture and Youth. Specialists in industry and Fourth Industrial Revolution fields require backing from the Ministry of Industry, and healthcare professionals need recommendations from their respective ministries.

A Specialised Professionals sub-category mandates a valid work permit, a minimum of a bachelor's degree, and a monthly salary of at least AED 30,000 (N10,848,767). Comprehensive health insurance is also required.

The Golden Visa allows eligible individuals and their families to live, work, and study in the UAE for a decade without needing a national sponsor.
