UAE Sets New Visit Visa Duration Limits for Foreigners

The UAE government, through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, has clarified the duration options for foreigners on visit visas. Applicants can choose to stay for 30, 60, or 90 days at the time of application.

Extensions may be granted beyond the initial duration, but the total stay cannot exceed 120 days, regardless of the number of extensions. For instance, a traveler entering on a 90-day visa can only extend their stay by an additional 30 days, while someone with a 30-day visa could extend their stay up to the maximum limit of 120 days.

This visit visa is intended for temporary entry into the UAE for purposes such as tourism and family visits. The official rules and conditions for the visa are available on the ICP's website, where applicants can also access the service directly.
