UAE Sets Renewal Criteria for Golden Visa for Students

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai has outlined the requirements for top students and graduates seeking to renew their Golden residency permit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The eligibility criteria are divided into three categories.

For secondary level students, the requirements include a passport copy, a Dubai-issued residence permit, and a general secondary school certificate with a minimum score of 95%. Graduates from UAE universities must provide a passport copy, a Dubai residence permit, and proof of a degree from a university ranked among the top 100 globally.

For graduates from international universities, the requirements include a passport, a Dubai residence permit, a degree from a Ministry-licensed university, and official transcripts showing a GPA of 3.5 or above, with graduation occurring within the past two years. The Golden Visa program allows eligible individuals to live and work in the UAE without a national sponsor.
