The UAE government has published a guide aimed at assisting foreigners in securing employment without the need for a sponsor. This guide outlines 11 practical tips and several official channels to facilitate the job search process.

A key feature is the jobseeker visit visa, which permits foreigners to enter the UAE for job hunting, available in 60, 90, or 120-day durations. The guide encourages candidates to register on both government and private job portals at no cost, including platforms like the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources portal and Dubai Careers.

It advises job seekers to attend job fairs, utilize classified ads, and send CVs to licensed recruitment agencies, while warning against paying any agency for visa processing. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) oversees the licensing of recruitment agencies.

The guide also provides straightforward advice, such as maintaining an updated CV, learning Arabic, and networking effectively.
