UBA Hosts 'Gen W' Event Celebrating Female Leadership

UBA Plc hosted the "Gen W" event as part of its quarterly business series on Thursday, celebrating female leadership and entrepreneurship. The event, held at UBA House in Marina, Lagos, was broadcast live globally and aimed to highlight the evolving role of women in leadership and business innovation, coinciding with International Women's Month.

Michel Nwoga, UBA's Group Head of Customer Experience, opened the event, discussing how women are taking charge and making their voices heard. The event was moderated by media personality Tobi Bakre and featured a panel of accomplished female entrepreneurs, including Joyce Awosika, Tomik Adeoy, Olufunk Davi, and Ayo Mario Es.

They shared their experiences and challenges as female business owners, emphasizing that women do not need to wait for a seat at the table but should create their own opportunities. Joyce Awosika highlighted the need for women to believe in their worth and strive to become better leaders.
