UBA Celebrates Female Leadership at 'Gen.W' Event

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) hosted a hybrid event titled "Gen.W: The Evolved Woman" at UBA House in Marina, Lagos, as part of its quarterly business series to celebrate International Women's Month. The event focused on the changing roles of women in leadership and business innovation, highlighting how African women are redefining success and driving sustainable impact across various industries.

Michel Nwoga, UBA's Group Head of Customer Experience, described the evolved woman as one who takes charge and ensures her voice is heard. Tobi Bakre moderated the event, which featured a panel of prominent entrepreneurs and media personalities, including Joyce Awosika and Tomik Adeoy.

The discussions emphasized that women should not wait for recognition but create their own opportunities. Alero Ladipo, UBA's Group Head of Brand and Corporate Communications, introduced the Gen.W lifestyle platform aimed at supporting women in building careers and businesses, providing access to resources and mentorship.
