UBA and Redtech Launch Momo PSB for Merchant Payments

United Bank for Africa (UBA) has partnered with Redtech to expand merchant payment access across Nigeria through the launch of Momo PSB. This collaboration aims to integrate Momo wallet directly with UBA's merchant locations, allowing Momo PSB customers to make payments seamlessly.

Kayod Olubiyi, UBA's Head of Digital Banking, stated that this partnership addresses gaps in cash transactions and card access. Emmanuel Ojo, Chief Executive Officer of Redtech, emphasized the goal of making payments work better in everyday commerce.

The partnership is significant as it aligns with the vision of Toni Elumelu, Chairman of Heir Holdings, to enhance the payment ecosystem in Nigeria. Omolara Michael Nwadu, CEO of Momo PSB, highlighted the importance of this integration in unlocking additional merchant touchpoints, focusing on driving usage and engagement.

The initiative aims to remove barriers in the bank-led mobile money system and enhance access for over 55,000 merchants.
