UBA, Redtech, MoMo PSB Launch Payment Access Partnership

United Bank for Africa (UBA), Redtech, and MoMo PSB have initiated a partnership to expand merchant payment access across Nigeria, particularly through cardless payment solutions. This collaboration will enable UBA's merchants to accept payments directly via MoMo's mobile wallet, enhancing the payment infrastructure for consumers.

Kayod Olubiyi, UBA's Head of Digital Bank, stated that the partnership addresses gaps in cash transactions and card access. Redtech's Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Ojo, emphasized the goal of making payments seamless in everyday commerce.

The integration will allow UBA's extensive merchant network to connect directly with MoMo's customer base, providing additional payment options. Omolara Michael Nwadu, CEO of MoMo PSB, highlighted the importance of this partnership in overcoming payment barriers in Nigeria.

Alero Ladipo, UBA's Group Head of Brand and Corporate Communications, noted the significance of this collaboration in promoting financial inclusion. The partnership has already deployed 55,000 Redpai Point of Sale terminals across UBA's network, processing transactions valued at 278.47 billion Naira to date.
