Mastercard and Bmoni Launch Instant Card Access in Nigeria

Mastercard has partnered with Bmoni to launch a new virtual and physical payment card aimed at Nigerian consumers, facilitating seamless local and global transactions. Dr.

Folasad Femi Lawal, representing Mastercard, emphasized the rapid growth of Nigeria's digital economy and the need for payment solutions that keep pace with consumer demands. The collaboration is designed to leverage Mastercard's global network and Bmoni's innovative platform to deliver real value to consumers through instant card access and multi-currency capabilities.

Ashwin Ravichandran, Head of Product at Bmoni, stated that the focus is on simplifying access and removing friction in financial transactions. The new solution will allow users to manage their finances more effectively by creating multiple cards for different purposes, including everyday spending, subscriptions, travel, and savings, while also enabling cross-border payments for remote work.

This initiative aims to provide users with better organization and real-time tracking of their financial activities.
