UBA, Redtech, MoMo PSB Enhance Merchant Payment Access

United Bank for Africa (UBA), Redtech, and MoMo PSB have initiated a partnership to improve cardless payment access for merchants throughout Nigeria. The collaboration allows MoMo PSB, a fintech subsidiary of MTN Nigeria, to integrate its wallet services directly with UBA's merchant locations.

Kayod Olubiyi, UBA's Head of Digital Banking, stated that this partnership addresses gaps in cash transactions and card access. The integration will provide merchants with direct access to MoMo PSB's customer base, enabling them to utilize the wallet for transactions.

Emmanuel Ojo, CEO of Redtech, emphasized the partnership's goal of creating seamless payment solutions for everyday commerce. Toni Elumelu, Chairman of Heir Holdings, noted that the integration of Redpai technology with MoMo PSB's wallet and UBA's network will enhance merchant options.

Omolara Michael Nwadu, CEO of MoMo PSB, highlighted that the partnership marks a significant step towards a truly interoperable payment ecosystem in Nigeria, unlocking additional merchant touchpoints.
