Uba Sani Warns Journalists Against Threats to Democracy

On Thursday, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State addressed journalists at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, cautioning them about "latter-day activists" who he claims threaten democracy. He urged journalists to remain vigilant against politicians who do not prioritize critical issues such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.

Sani reflected on the historical struggles of civil rights activists, noting that many journalists lost their lives fighting for democracy. He criticized current politicians for focusing on ethnic and religious divisions instead of addressing the needs of Nigerians.

Sani highlighted his administration's achievements, including the development of 23 local governments in the past two and a half years, the establishment of 32 secondary hospitals, and the renovation of schools benefiting 580,000 children. He stated that Kaduna State has received $62.8 million from various development partners to improve education and ensure no child is left out of the classroom.
