Uba Sani Warns Journalists Against Latter-Day Activists

During a Ramadan fast-breaking event at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State cautioned journalists against "latter-day activists" who he believes are undermining democracy in Nigeria. He recalled that many civil rights activists, primarily journalists, lost their freedom and lives in the struggle for democracy.

Sani criticized politicians who focus on ethnic and religious divisions instead of pressing issues like healthcare, education, and poverty. He highlighted that in the past ten years, no significant road development occurred in 12 local governments in Kaduna State, while his administration has developed 23 local governments in the last two and a half years.

Sani also noted improvements in education, with 32 secondary hospitals and 580,000 school children benefiting from various development funds, including $62.8 million from the Kuwait Development Fund, UNICEF, and the Islamic Development Bank, aimed at ensuring no child is left out of the classroom.
