UBEC and FCT Distribute Learning Materials to Schools

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has partnered with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to distribute teaching and learning materials to public basic schools in Abuja. The distribution began on Thursday, as part of a nationwide intervention aimed at strengthening teaching and learning outcomes in public schools.

Dr. Aisha Garba, the Executive Secretary of UBEC, reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to delivering quality education and described education as the foundation for national development. She highlighted that the initiative reflects UBEC's ongoing collaboration with state Universal Basic Education Boards (UBEB) to improve infrastructure, teacher capacity, and access to learning resources across the country.

The goal is to ensure that every Nigerian child receives quality education, empowering them with the necessary materials to enhance learning outcomes and classroom experiences, thereby enabling them to compete globally.
