United Capital Plc H1 2026 Results: 80% Profit Growth

United Capital Plc filed its unaudited financial results for the period ended June 30, 2026 on July 27, 2026. The filing discloses an 80% year-on-year growth in profit before tax and an interim dividend of ₦5.4 billion approved by the Board of Directors.
United Capital Plc (NGX: UCAP) has released its unaudited results for the first half of 2026, reporting gross earnings of ₦37.49 billion, a 58% increase from ₦23.76 billion recorded in H1 2025. Profit before tax rose 80% year-on-year to ₦24.78 billion, while profit after tax grew 77% to ₦21.10 billion. The company attributed the earnings growth to increases in fee and commission income (+26%), net investment income (+45%), net trading income (+1,083%), and net gain on financial assets measured at fair value through profit or loss (+132%).
The Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of ₦5.4 billion, representing 30 kobo per ordinary share of 50 kobo each, subject to applicable withholding tax. Shareholders' funds grew 25% year-to-date to ₦187.09 billion, driven by a 35% rise in the fair value reserve and 13% growth in retained earnings. Total assets declined 7% year-to-date to ₦1.64 trillion, while managed funds increased 4% to ₦1.04 trillion. Annualised earnings per share stood at 234 kobo, compared to 132 kobo in H1 2025.
