Ex-Super Eagles Legends Split on UCL Final Support

Ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Arsenal in Budapest, former Super Eagles players have expressed divided loyalties. Jay-Jay Okocha and Godwin Okpara support PSG, while Nwankwo Kanu and Tajudeen Disu back Arsenal.

Okpara, who played for PSG, emphasized the team's transformation under coach Luis Enrique, noting their collective approach and teamwork. He believes PSG's squad quality will lead them to victory.

Okocha reflected on PSG's previous success, recalling their 5-0 win against Inter Milan. Conversely, Kanu, a Champions League winner with Ajax in 1995, highlighted Arsenal's unbeaten European record and expressed confidence in their ability to win the final, citing Mikel Arteta's defensive organization.

Disu acknowledged the challenge but remains hopeful for Arsenal, emphasizing the significance of the match after a long wait for a final appearance.
