Nicol Warns Liverpool About Osimhen's Threat in UCL

In anticipation of the UEFA Champions League match between Liverpool FC and Galatasaray, Liverpool icon Steve Nicol cautions that the Reds should not underestimate the threat posed by Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen. Nicol highlights that Galatasaray enters the crucial match with a slight advantage after achieving a 1-0 win in the first leg at Ram Park.

Although Osimhen did not score in that match, his presence consistently poses an attacking threat, as evidenced by a disallowed goal due to offside. In an interview with ESPN FC, Nicol expressed confusion over why Liverpool continues to be viewed as favorites despite recent difficulties, including a loss to the current worst team in the Premier League.

He noted that Osimhen is capable of winning matches single-handedly and emphasized the significance of his performance, having scored seven goals and provided three assists in nine matches for Galatasaray this season. As the second leg approaches at Anfield, Osimhen aims to maintain his form to help Galatasaray advance in Europe’s premier club tournament.
