UEFA Fines Benfica €40,000 Over Racism Incident

UEFA's statement confirmed these sanctions due to the conduct of Benfica supporters, which included the use of a laser pointer and the throwing of objects, resulting in an additional fine of €8,000.

The total financial penalty against Benfica amounts to €48,000. Furthermore, Benfica's assistant coach, Machado, has been suspended for the match.
