Sneijder criticized Otamendi's behavior as childish, highlighting that while Otamendi could brag about the World Cup, Vinícius had not won anything comparable in the Champions League. The match was briefly halted when Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni appeared to make a racial comment towards Vinícius, leading to a ten-minute stoppage.
