UEFA Fines Tottenham for Nazi Salutes by Supporters

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has imposed a fine of €30,000 (approximately 26,000) on Tottenham Hotspur and issued a suspended away ticket ban due to the actions of three supporters who performed Nazi salutes during a Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park on January 28. Tottenham won the match 2-0.

The sanction was imposed as part of UEFA's efforts to combat racist and discriminatory behavior. The away ticket ban will be suspended for a probationary period of one year.

Additionally, Tottenham has been proactive in condemning the actions of the involved supporters. This incident follows a separate controversy involving Real Madrid, which is under investigation for similar behavior by its supporters during a Champions League victory against Benfica.
