Ugochinyere Seeks House Minority Leader Position

Ugochinyere has officially declared his interest in the House Minority Leader position, which is currently occupied by Kingsley Chinda, a member representing the Obio-Akpor Federal Constituency in Rivers State. Ugochinyere's announcement follows allegations that Chinda purchased a governorship form from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has been undermining the opposition's efforts in Nigeria.

He has called on Chinda to confirm or deny these claims and warned that failure to resign could lead to impeachment. Ugochinyere criticized Chinda for allegedly prioritizing the interests of Nyesom Wike, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), over those of the opposition bloc.

He stated that consultations with lawmakers would begin immediately to support his bid for the leadership position.
