Ugochinyere Calls for Unity Among Nigerian Opposition Parties

Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency, has called for unity among opposition political parties in Nigeria. In a statement made available to Punch Online on Thursday, Ugochinyere specifically appealed to parties including the African Democratic Congress, Nigerian Democratic Congress, and Labour Party to avoid unnecessary confrontations among lawmakers.

He described the growing trend of public disagreements among opposition figures as childish and counterproductive, emphasizing that now is not the time for media attacks. Ugochinyere stressed that the opposition should provide credible alternatives to the Nigerian populace instead of engaging in endless quarrels that weaken their collective strength.

He urged leaders and members of opposition parties to focus on pressing issues affecting citizens, such as insecurity, economic hardship, unemployment, and governmental challenges. Ugochinyere concluded that maintaining unity is the strongest tool for political movement and essential for gaining the confidence of Nigerians.
