UK-Based Nigerian Mother Omotayo Abioy Dies of Cancer

Omotayo Abioy, a 40-year-old Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom, died from breast cancer on April 5. Her family expressed profound grief, describing her as a devoted mother and compassionate individual whose life impacted many.

Benjamin Kuti, a former president of the Nigerian UK community, highlighted her unwavering faith and resilience despite her health challenges. Omotayo is survived by three children, aged 11, 9, and 7, who are her pride and greatest legacy.

In light of her passing, the family has appealed for support from Nigerians both at home and abroad to help ease the burden of her burial and provide for her children. A GoFundMe campaign was initiated by Jide Abioy, aiming to raise £10,000, with £1,160 already collected.

The family emphasized that no contribution is too small and that prayers and support are crucial during this difficult time.
